Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) is Amazon’s self-publishing service allowing authors and publishers to market and sell their content in the global Kindle store.
The KDP Customer Support Analyst serves as the front-line contact for publishers and content providers. This role focuses on troubleshooting author inquiries, resolving platform issues across email, phone, and chat, and maintaining a high standard of customer experience.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Multichannel Customer Support: Respond to publisher inquiries via phone, email, and live chat with polite, clear, and accurate communication.
Issue Diagnosis & Troubleshooting: Research, replicate, and document publisher issues using internal tools to identify root causes and deliver personalized resolutions.
SLA & Performance Standards: Consistently meet or exceed targets for quality, productivity, handle times, and response time SLAs.
Escalations & Process Improvement: Identify systemic or complex technical bugs, escalate them to appropriate teams, and suggest process improvements to enhance user experience.
Documentation & Compliance: Maintain precise, clear interaction logs and strictly follow company policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Qualifications
Education & Experience: College degree preferred; minimum 1 year of experience handling customer inquiries via calls, chats, or emails.
Language & Communication: Fluent written and spoken English.
Technical Skills: Proficient computer navigation, web browser troubleshooting, and strong analytical/research skills.
Work Setup & Availability: Must work from the office (in-office role); flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends and overnight shifts.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with web-enabled software products or digital publishing platforms.
Basic understanding of web technologies, web tools, and HTML.
Strong detail orientation with a proven ability to analyze complex author problems and document workflows clearly.
