The Senior Data Center Engineer within the Data Center Services team manages global data center spaces and co-location cages housing corporate network, server, and storage assets. This role ensures facilities are installed to industry standards, optimized for resource efficiency, maintained for high reliability, and compliant with data protection and security requirements.

Primary Responsibilities
Operations & Monitoring: Monitor data center performance, capacity, power, cooling, and environmental conditions.
Compliance & Governance: Maintain compliance with industry privacy and security regulations; manage Incidents, Problem tickets, and Change Controls to minimize operational risk.
Infrastructure & Planning: Partner with engineering teams to design or modify facilities, optimize space utilization, and collaborate on strategic IT infrastructure growth.
Vendor & Supply Chain Management: Support supplier relationships, understand engagement workflows, and utilize vendor portals (e.g., Equinix) to schedule cross-connects, power whips, and remote hands.
Efficiency & DR Planning: Review operations to identify cost-saving efficiencies and coordinate disaster recovery (DR) plans for critical systems.
Maintenance & Availability: Participate in after-hours support, on-call rotations, and weekend maintenance as needed.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience
Essential
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Management, or equivalent experience.
Power Concepts: Understanding of load/capacity planning, power measurement (Watts, kW, kVA), and redundancy concepts (N, N+1, 2N).
Hands-on IT & Cabling: Experience installing IT equipment in racks, consoling/logging into IT and power devices, and 5+ years of experience (or certification) with structured cabling standards.
Project & Vendor Management: Proven experience working with vendor portals, managing multi-disciplinary team projects, and applying capacity planning and preventative maintenance practices.
Communication: Detail-oriented with strong documentation and communication skills.

Preferred
Familiarity with industry data center standards and critical awareness methods.
Hands-on knowledge of facility electrical systems (ATS, UPS, electrical switching, and distribution systems).

Role Details & Offer
Work Location: Remote (Candidates must reside within a 1-hour radius of Hyderabad or Gurugram).
Compensation: $20,000 – $30,000 per annum TGP (depending on experience and qualifications).
Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
